ONS Safety Lunch 2026: Courage and Responsibility in a Turbulent World

The global security situation is undergoing rapid change. Geopolitical turmoil, increased rivalry between the major powers and a more complex threat landscape are also affecting the energy sector, placing new demands on the authorities, the industry and individual players.

As part of the official programme for ONS 2026, the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) invites you to its regular Safety Lunch.

This year's keynote speaker is Louise Dedichen.

Drawing on her background in the Norwegian Armed Forces, security policy and strategic leadership, she will shed light on the current European and global security landscape. What does a more challenging and unpredictable situation mean for the energy sector? What responsibilities does the oil and gas industry have in the face of increasing complexity, new threats and greater demands for resilience, preparedness and cooperation?

Her presentation will offer a broad perspective on courage, responsibility and leadership in an era when safety and security cannot be taken for granted.

ONS Safety Lunch brings together decision-makers, leaders and professionals from the energy industry to reflect on and discuss safety and security from a broad societal perspective – right at the heart of ONS, and at a time that calls for courage.
